More than a year has passed since Ariana Grande’s infamous donut licking incident, but despite numerous apologies — and the decision of the California donut shop not to press charges — the 23-year-old pop star continues to be asked about the altercation.

In a pre-show interview at Sunday’s VMAs, broadcaster Charlamagne Tha God brought up Donutgate to Grande directly, telling her, “Don’t go licking any pastries tonight.” Grande cast Charlamagne some side eye before the interview ended soon after. (Though she did, of course, note that she was psyched for Beyoncé’s performance.)

Grande will perform with Nicki Minaj at the VMAs — the second time they’ve taken the award show’s stage together, the first being in 2014. She’s also up for five awards: Best Female Video, Best Collaboration, Best Pop Video, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing.
