Aly Raisman just got another title.

The 22-year-old six-time Olympic medalist received a warm welcome when she returned to her hometown of Needham, Massachusetts. On Saturday, the suburban Boston town celebrated “Aly Raisman Day.”

“Today is Aly Raisman day in Needham,” Raisman wrote in an Instagram post, showing the gold medalist on a firetruck. “THANK YOU Needham (that’s me on the fire truck).”


The gymnast geared up for her day by putting on a red, white and blue ensemble, which she shared in a photo on Instagram.

“Outfit for the rally today :) So excited to see you all. Thank you Needham for putting this together and everyone for coming out. Can’t wait to see you all and can’t thank you enough for all the support!! Go USA,” she wrote in the post.


Raisman recently won two individual silver medals in the women’s all around competition and floor final. She also took home the gold with her teammates – better known as the Final Five – in the team competition.

Raisman’s next time the spotlight? The day after Aly Raisman Day. She and the Final Five are set to head over to Madison Square Garden, where they willpresent at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
