Kanye West’s controversial “Famous” video is now an art exhibit.
The wax sculptures and bed used in the video are part of an exhibition in Los Angeles. West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, helped unveil the exhibit news on her Twitter and Snapchat accounts.
“Heading to a secret art gallery location to view Kanye’s Famous Exhibition!!!!” Kardashian West wrote on Twitter Friday. Videos from her Snapchat reveal that the bed and naked celebrities from “Famous” — including the husband and wife, as well as likenesses of Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, Amber Rose, Bill Cosby, and George W. Bush — are on display. West was part of the exhibition too, shown on a video monitor presumably while on the road for his Saint Pablo tour, which began this week in Atlanta and heads to Buffalo, New York, on Saturday night.
“Famous” is up for two awards at Sunday’s MTV VMAs, including Video of the Year. The clip has been a source of controversy since its release, drawing the ire of Lena Dunham among others.
“The ‘Famous’ video is one of the more disturbing ‘artistic’ efforts in recent memory,” Dunham wrote on Facebook after its release. “Now I have to see the prone, unconscious, waxy bodies of famous women, twisted like they’ve been drugged and chucked aside at a rager? It gives me such a sickening sense of dis-ease.”
