Freaks and Geeks may have only waved its freak flag for one season, but 17 years later, the beloved teen dramedy still ranks among TV’s biggest cult hits. In honor of Flashback Friday, star John Francis Daley paid the beloved show a nostalgic tribute, sharing vintage behind-the-scenes photos via Twitter.

The pictures show Daley, who played adorkable 9th grader Sam Weir, goofing off with on-set sister Lindsay (Linda Cardellini) and her one-time beau Nick Andopolis (Jason Segel), and another where he’s chatting with executive producer Judd Apatow.

Though short-lived, airing from 1999 to 2000, it’s largely considered a catalyst for the careers of industry heavyweights James Franco and Seth Rogen, who portrayed stoner bros Daniel Desario and Ken Miller, respectively. Busy Philipps (Vice Principals), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), and Samm Levine (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp) also starred.
