The upcoming season of Scream Queens is embracing its hospital setting with a series of new cast portraits.
Fox shared the photos Thursday, providing a sneak peek at the bloody gang. Returning stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Keke Palmer, and Lea Michele are all featured, accompanied by the new “Scream Kings” John Stamos as Dr. Brock Holt, Taylor Lautner as Dr. Cassidy Cascade, and James Earl as Candy Striper.
Fans were already given a tease of the sophomore season horrors earlier with the reveal of “Hannibal Hester”’s masked face, the Chanel’s chic hospital attire, and the introduction of the famous newcomers.
Season 2 will pick up three years after the events at the Kappa sorority house from season 1. Murders follow the crew through the hospital, which Dean Munsch (Curtis) purchased for mysterious reasons. “It’s unclear what her reasoning is,” said series writer Ian Brennan to EW during Comic-Con. “There’s a bit of a grey area there.” As for why the Chanel’s go to work for Munsch: “The Chanels have fallen from glamor and glory and are now having to work for Dr. Dean Munsch,” said Roberts during Comic-Con. “But what I love is to see them try to hold on to that last glimmer of glamour that they used to have in this hospital.”
Everyone’s motives will (eventually) be revealed when in season 2, which premieres Tuesday, Sept. 20 on Fox. Check out the new cast photos below.
