NCIS first look at Jennifer Esposito and Wilmer Valderrama with badges

It took not one, but two actors to replace Michael Weatherly!

But Jennifer Esposito and Wilmer Valderrama make the change look effortless in this new promo for the return of NCIS.

EW can exclusively reveal the first look of Esposito and Valderrama in their new gigs as agents Alexandra “Alex” Quinn and Nick Torres.

The duo was added to the drama’s 14th season after Weatherly departed his role as Tony DiNozzo. He’s now the star of the CBS drama Bull.

In EW’s suite at Comic-Con last month, Valderrama said he’s not there to serve as the new DiNozzo. “[Weatherly] had a fantastic journey with the show. The truth is there’s no shoes to fill, I’m definitely wearing my own. I’m excited because as a new member of NCIS I get to bring a new energy to it, a different dynamic.”

NCIS begins Sept. 20 on CBS.
