Madonna crashed the 25th anniversary screening of her Truth or Dare documentary at the Museum of Modern Art in New York Wednesday night, surprising roughly 400 fans with her unannounced drop-by.

The film, originally released in 1991, chronicles her acclaimed, highly controversial Blond Ambition World Tour, which ran for four months in support of the pop icon’s fourth studio album, Like A Prayer, and second soundtrack effort, I’m Breathless.

The movie earned over $29 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest-grossing documentary of its time. MoMA’s special anniversary event included a conversation with director Alek Keshishian, Blonde Ambition Tour choreographer Vincent Paterson, and dancers Jose Gutierez and Salim Gauwloos.
