A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away … album covers might look more like this.

As part of an ongoing series titled Why the Longplay Face?, digital artist Steven Lear has taken to remixing classic LP covers with Star Wars twists, and the results are enough to impress even the sternest Jedi master or most nefarious Sith lord.

Playing off both words and imagery, the redesigned albums include Han Solo replicating David Bowie’s Heroes pose, an AT-AT standing in for AC/DC, Princess Leia doing her best Bjork impersonation, Lando Calrissian gracing Lando Calling (taking cues from the Clash’s London Calling), and a cover that should really be labeled Darth Side of the Moon.

Check out some examples below and on Lear’s website.
