Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder stopped mid-song to have a fan thrown out of the band’s concert in Wrigley Field on Monday night.

As Pearl Jam played the song “Lukin,” Vedder began telling his bandmates to stop the performance.

“Hey! Hey, mister, get your finger out of the woman’s face, [motherf—er],” Vedder said to the fan. “All the fingers are pointing at you. Clear out, mister.” Soon after, security escorted the fan from the general admission area.

From the stage, Vedder asked if the unidentified woman was okay, and gave a shout-out to her male companion as well. “That’s a good man, taking care of your woman, and then she was taking care of herself too pretty good it looked like she was ready…” Vedder said.

The band then played the final verse of “Lukin.”
