Britney Spears and G-Eazy tag-teamed the MTV Video Music Awards with a steamy performance of their new single, “Make Me…”

After being introduced by Kim Kardashian West and following Beyoncé, Spears took the stage in a glittering metallic bodysuit, busting out moves to her latest hit. Joined by an army of black-and-white backup dancers, the pop princess employed some of her signature hair flips and grinded up against the rapper.

Spears, who released her new album Glory on Friday, has provided some of the VMAs’ most memorable moments over the years, from dancing with a live snake in 2001 to kissing Madonna in 2003. The last time she performed at the ceremony was in 2007, though her now-infamous rendition of “Gimme More” was heavily critized. In 2011, the network honored her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which is being given to Rihanna this year.

“It’s amazing [to have Spears back],” VMAs executive producer Jesse Ignatovic told EW earlier this week. “To have her in such great form with a huge hit, she’s super relevant and current—I think the young people watching MTV now are as connected to her as they were back in the TRL days.”
