It’s safe to say Greg Gutfeld is not a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Fox News personality appears on the network’s afternoon program The Five. On Monday’s show, Gutfeld discussed a recent video of RHCP bassist Flea allowing Koko the gorilla to play his famed instrument. Then Gutfeld laid into the band.

“As most musicians know, this is a vast improvement over the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the worst band on the planet,” he said — a comment that came as no surprise to his cohosts.

“The ape is better than Anthony Kiedis. By the way, the ape is 45, which is half the age of Anthony Kiedis,” he said. (Kiedis is 53). “Red Hot Chili Peppers: poor man’s Faith No More. don’t ever forget it.”

Representatives for the Chili Peppers did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment. It’s unlikely the group tuned in to The Five on the conservative network; the California rockers supported Sen. Bernie Sanders’ primary campaign earlier this year, putting on a show in Los Angeles on his behalf in February.
