This year’s star-studded MTV Video Music Awards just got even more jam packed.

MTV announced Monday that Atlanta rapper Future will be performing at the VMAs for the first time ever, alongside other pop giants like Britney Spears and Rihanna.

Future is not nominated for any awards this year, but between a mixtape, an album, and several starring spots on projects from DJ Khaled and DJ Esco, the rapper is still firmly set at the center of hip-hop. Future made the announcement of his performance with a special video directed by Tom Gould.

MTV’s VMAs will air Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. ET.
