Rayvon Owen takes The Chainsmokers out of trap and into the soul atmosphere.

The former American Idol contestant and linked up with Postmodern Jukebox to tackle “Don’t Let Me Down.” The Chainsmokers’ track with Daya firmly belongs in clubs and workouts, but Owen and PMJ’s take is church-ready.

Previously, Owen worked with the collective on one of the all-time party anthems, “Ignition (Remix)” by R. Kelly, with a particular Frank Sinatra flair. Owen finished fourth during season 14 of Idol, the year Nick Fradiani won it all.
