It’s a big year for the Wizarding World. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has examined life after Hogwarts for Harry and his friends, while Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and the accompanying “History of Magic in North America” series have explored magic on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. But that doesn’t mean Hogwarts itself is getting entirely left out. This September, Pottermore is launching Pottermore Presents, a series of eBook shorts about the Wizarding World.

The books will combine writing previously published on Pottermore with new additions from J.K. Rowling. The first three will focus on Hogwarts professors and personalities. Short Stories from Hogwarts: Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists includes new writing about Potions Master Horace Slughorn, along with writing on Dolores Umbridge and Quirinus Quirrell, some of the shadiest wizards to ever teach at Hogwarts. The writing will subsequently explore the darker side of magic.

In contrast, Short Stories from Hogwarts: Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies will profile two of Hogwarts’ most upstanding professors: Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin. New, never-before-published writing from Rowling will give more details on what Professor McGonagall was doing in the second wizarding war while Harry and his friends were hunting Horcruxes. The third book, Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide, will explore the school itself, the hidden treasures and steadfast residents that remain even as professors cycle in and out.

Each eBook will be priced at $2.99, available from the Pottermore Shop or other leading digital book retailers starting Sept. 6.
