Mr. Robot: Elliot Alderson's journal gets book treatment
No series currently on television has invited deep readings from its fans quite like USA’s Mr. Robot. On a weekly basis viewers comb every frame searching for some clue that hints at the show’s true nature or for a sense of what’s to come, and this fall, obsessed fans will be able to find even more info not on the screen, but on the page.
MR. ROBOT: Red Wheelbarrow is the first tie-in book for the hacker series. Previously announced at San Diego Comic-Con, the book, which hits shelves on Nov. 1 from Abrams Books, is a version of Elliot Alderson’s personal journal that viewers can take home to scour for clues about season 2 and the story’s future.
Written by series creator Sam Esmail and series writer Courtney Looney, Red Wheelbarrow will contain seven removable artifacts, described as “a ripped-out page, newspaper clipping, mysterious envelope and more,” that will provide some insight into Elliot’s very fractured psyche.
