YouTube (and all-around Internet) star Todrick Hall is headed back to Broadway in a pair of knee-highs.

The viral video-making phenom will join the Broadway cast of Kinky Boots as Lola, replacing current star Alan Mingo, Jr. in the four-years-running production at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

The actor and singer (who also broke out on the ninth season of American Idol) made the announcement on his YouTube channel, which you can see above.

Hall, who made his Broadway debut in The Color Purple and also appeared in Memphis, will begin performances on Nov. 1, for a run through March 5. The show currently stars Mingo as the inspiring drag queen Lola, Aaron C. Finley as reluctant shoemaker Charlie Price, and Haven Burton as factory worker Lauren.

Kinky Boots earned the 2013 Tony Award for Best Musical and is currently enjoying its first national tour, a West End production, and an extended run in Toronto, with an Australian production set to open this October.
