Keira Knightley will soon dance her way into the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy, as EW can confirm the actress has joined the cast of Disney’s upcoming live-action version of The Nutcracker.

Adapted from E.T.A. Hoffman’s The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, first published in 1816, Disney’s rendition of the classic tale will be titled The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The feature follows a young girl, Clara (Mackenzie Foy), whose Christmas doll comes to life for an epic battle with the evil, seven-headed Mouse King.

Misty Copeland announced her involvement in the project via Instagram last month, while Variety, which first broke news of Knightley’s casting, reports Morgan Freeman attached to play an unspecified role.

Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) is directing the film from a script by newcomer Ashleigh Powell.

A release date for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms has yet to be announced.
