Homeland has locked up a notable actor for season 6: Prison Break‘s Robert Knepper.

The actor best known for his role as T-Bag on the Fox drama has signed up for a recurring role on the Showtime espionage thriller, EW has learned. Knepper will play General Jamie McClendon, the Department of Defense representative who is tasked with briefing Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel), the president-elect, and her transition team.

Knepper, who also will appear in the Twin Peaks reboot, is a cast member of the revived Prison Break. His recent TV credits include iZombie, Public Morals, NCIS, Hawaii Five-0, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Fire.

The Flash‘s Patrick Sabongui and Limitless‘ Hill Harper joined the season 6 cast last week.

Debuting in January, Season 6 picks up with Carrie returning to the United States and working at a foundation in New York City that provides aid to Muslims living in America.
