Wannabe Daryl Dixon, Dwight, gets his day in an angel-winged leather vest in the newly released clip from season 7 of The Walking Dead, which aired during a preview on AMC Sunday night.

Mostly, we just see Dwight wheeling Daryl’s chopper through a grounded group of growlers, and eventually booting one in the head. So if you thought this quiet 50 seconds might offer some sort to clue as to who was on the receiving end of Negan’s bat, you’ll have to keep waiting. Though: Dwight is a high-ranking member of the Saviors and it is perhaps significant that he’s wearing Daryl’s iconic vest.

No matter what the clip really means, things on the show will be forever changed by the arrival of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s big bad, Negan. “It’s a reset on The Walking Dead world. It’s f—ing Negan’s world now,” he told EW recently.

“What you’re going to see in the first half of this season is Negan wreaking havoc,” Morgan said. “And some of your characters that you’ve grown to love are not going to be on the show anymore, and it’s going to end badly for them. It’s going to be a whole new beginning for The Walking Dead. Really, we’ve taken the show and just flipped it upside down. It’s a different show now. It’s going to have a different feeling. You’re going to see your favorite characters in a position that they’ve never been in before, which is super vulnerable and victimized.”

Watch the clip above. The Walking Dead premieres Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
