The 2016 Summer Olympic Games have been full of surprises, both on the field and off. BBC broadcaster Dan Walker for one got quite a shocker on Sunday when his coverage live from Copacabana Beach was interrupted by the arrival of a boisterous bachelorette party.

The bride-to-be, who identified herself afterward as Maria de Cezar, even joined Walker for a few seconds on camera. She took the opportunity to thank her friends and her husband-to-be before leading her party in a rousing chant of “BBC! BBC!”

“Well, that was a bit special, wasn’t it?” Walker said afterward. “You don’t get that on BBC One, do you?”

De Cezar and Walker also found each other on Twitter later. “Hello everybody!!!! This is Brasil!!! Yesterday i had a Great night with my friends. My hen party Was a success!!!” she tweeted, including a photo of her group.

Walker wrote back, “We know Maria,” and added a link to BBC’s story on the fun interruption.
