Indigestion is perhaps the last topic you’d want to discuss in the presence of Meryl Streep, but, then again, you’re probably not Hugh Grant, who did just that during a Wednesday evening Reddit AMA with the acting legend as they promoted their new movie, Florence Foster Jenkins.

Responding to the question, “Is a hot dog a sandwich?” Grant dug deep into his vault of secrets to unearth a gem of a story about an uncomfortable occurrence on the set of Two Weeks Notice, which was filmed in New York City. Grant went on to explain a moment of overindulgence (he consumed seven franks from Nathan’s on Coney Island while filming) led to an embarrassing encounter with one of the film’s makeup artists.

“I was unable to return to the set after, because of the condition of my innards. I had a makeup artist from Brooklyn who did not mince her words. She said, ‘Oh my god, did it blow your ass out?'” Grant explained. Streep responded: “It’s really a lovely story. I want to return to that, over and over… Is a hotdog a sandwich? Well with a bun, yes. Without a bun, no. It’s a canapé.”

When asked if either one of them would consider playing Hillary Clinton in a movie, Streep said it was important to “let Hillary play the role she was destined to play all by herself first,” while Grant noted he “would love to” because, while attending an all-boys school during his formative years, he played “almost exclusively female roles” thanks to his body being “pretty and undeveloped.”

In addition to revealing which movies they’ve watched the most (Streep is a fan of The Godfather, while Grant says he’s watched his own movie, Four Weddings and a Funeral, more than any other), the U.K. actor also offered a few style tips to his 18-year-old self when prompted to do so by a Reddit user.

“Don’t wear that jumpsuit. I had a girlfriend who decided in 1978 that I should have a jumpsuit, which were quite trendy. But mine was too small from crotch to shoulder especially after it had been in the washing machine, so I had to go around with a slight stoop and all the dye ran. I remember when I took it off I was bright blue. It was a mistake. We all made mistakes,” Grant said. In response, Streep joked: “I’m picturing that, and it’s such a beautiful thing. Jumpsuits for men are always so difficult when you get to that one area.”

Florence Foster Jenkins is in theaters Aug. 12.
