Zoo will still be running wild next summer on CBS.

The network has renewed the James Wolk-starring series for a third season, CBS announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Wednesday.

Based on the James Patterson bestseller of the same name, Zoo tells the story of a wave of violent animal attacks against humans across the globe.

No word yet on the fate of freshman summer shows American Gothic and BrainDead.

The two-hour season 2 finale of Zoo airs Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
