Actor Jared Padalecki may have plenty of action scenes on Supernatural, but climbing the Trump Tower using suction cups doesn’t seem to be the kind of excitement he wants in on.

During a man’s harrowing and bizarre attempt to climb the Trump Tower in New York City Wednesday, fans of the Supernatural actor were concerned he had decided to try out a new sport, given the two men’s similar features. Several fans sent Padalecki messages asking if he was, in fact, the man taking over news coverage for the day.

Padalecki, who also co-starred over the first 5 seasons of The Gilmore Girls, took to his Facebook page to address the potential confusion. “To clear things up, this is NOT me trying to scale the Trump Tower in NYC,” wrote the actor. “I am safe and sound in Vancouver filming #Supernatural. So please stop asking.” He added a winking face emoji to share his levity, and also attached a photo of the climber for reference.

While many of the messages were sent privately to the actor, some users attached photos of the climber to help drive home the comparison.

While the Trump Tower climber’s career has ended, pulled from the side of the building by police after an hours-long standoff, Padalecki is staying busy currently filming his CW show Supernatural, as he confirmed, and awaiting the release of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Netflix Nov. 25.
