Matt LeBlanc is switching comedy gears by headlining the new CBS family comedy Man with a Plan. During the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour on Wednesday, the former Friends star, who recently filmed his final season of Episodes, was asked about another gear — specifically, how he’d fit his co-hosting duties on the BBC show Top Gear into his now-busy schedule. “Carefully,” he joked.

Discussing a return to the popular British car series, LeBlanc added, “I’m not sure what’s happening with Top Gear just yet… I don’t know. I’d like to. There’s nothing officially happening yet. Call the BBC.”

Top Gear co-host Chris Evans exited the show last month after one season, and a BBC spokesman said in July that there are no plans to replace Evans. Filming on season 24 will begin in September, and LeBlanc has been expected to return to host the show by himself, according to reports.

Man with a Plan debuts Oct. 24.
