The new big-screen terror tale Found Footage 3D concerns a group of filmmakers who set out to make the first 3D found-footage horror film, Spectre of Death 3D, but find themselves in a found-footage horror film when the evil entity from their movie escapes into their behind-the-scenes footage.

Found Footage 3D stars Carter Roy (from this year’s apocalypse-thriller Refuge), Alena von Stroheim (Hacker’s Game), Chris O’Brien, Tom Saporito, Scott Allen Perry, Jessica Perrin, and real-life film critic, Scott Weinberg, who is playing himself. The film is written and directed by Steven DeGennaro and is produced by DeGennaro, Charles Mulford, and Kim Henkel, co-writer of the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Found Footage 3D receives its world premiere at the Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival in Chicago on Aug. 20 at 10 p.m. The film is also playing at Fright Fest in London on Aug. 29.
