Beyoncé’s album Lemonade is undoubtedly one of the biggest musical events of the year — right up there with the musical Hamilton, whose unique blend of musical theater, R&B, and hip-hop carried it through the Tony Awards and made it the hottest ticket on Broadway for the second year running. Given their shared blockbuster status, it was only a matter of time until Lemonade popped up at the Hamilton cast’s weekly Ham4Ham shows. That day finally came on Wednesday, when The Color Purple star Cynthia Erivo stopped by to sing “Sandcastles.”

Erivo’s blockbuster performance in The Color Purple is so jaw-dropping that she often receives standing ovations in the middle of the musical. Someone in the Ham4Ham audience tried to start something similar around 2:47 of the official video, but was quickly shushed — and just in time for Erivo to add her signature high notes to the end of Beyoncé’s ballad.
