Everyone knows that terrible things happen to young people who do drugs in horror movies. But were you aware that rule also applies to folks who participate in drug trials?

In the new film Tell Me How I Die, a group of college students taking part in an experimental drug study begin to have terrifying visions of their own murders — visions which start to come true. As they scramble to outsmart and outmaneuver their date with death, they realize that the killer is among them and shares their ability to see the future.

Directed by D.J. Viola and written by EW’s own James Hibberd, Tell Me How I Die stars Ryan Higa (YouTube’s NigaHiga), Nathan Kress (iCarly), Virginia Gardner (Project Almanac), and Ethan Peck (10 Things I Hate About You). The film is being released by Base Station and Big Block Entertainment and debuts in select theaters, on iTunes, and via VOD on Sept. 16.
