Can’t wait until Sept. 25 to see how Fox’s Son of Zorn will blend the worlds of animation and live-action?

Fine, don’t wait. Fox announced on Monday during the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour that it would preview the hybrid comedy on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, after the first NFL doubleheader of the season.

Two weeks later, on Sept. 25, at 8:30 p.m. — which was the show’s original premiere date — Son of Zorn will unspool a second new episode.

Executive-produced by The LEGO Movie writer-directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord, the series follows the adventures of cartoon warrior Zorn (voiced by Jason Sudeikis), who leaves the cartoon nation of Zephyria and returns to live-action California, where he tries to reconnect with his ex-wife (Cheryl Hines) and son (Johnny Pemberton).

Guest stars in the first season include Nick Offerman, Olivia Wilde, Keegan-Michael Key, and Fred Armisen.
