We’ve seen Emma Stone slay “All I Do Is Win” and Tom Cruise recreate Top Gun on The Tonight Show for Lip Sync Battle, but Seth Rogen set himself apart from the greats by enlisting the aid of The Roots.

“We have one of the greatest bands in the world here on this stage,” Rogen said on the late-night talk show. “I’ve been a fan of The Roots since, literally, the day I was born and they have agreed to help me out with a live playback of a song off their classic 1995 album Do You Want More?

Pulling out an afro pik to use as his microphone, Rogen performed a lip sync to the band’s “Mellow My Man” as lead vocalist Black Thought rapped the lyrics.

When it came time for the comedian’s second performance, he pulled out a grey sweater to lip sync to Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” Watch it all below.
