For Viola Davis, rolling around with some of the hottest actors on the hit show How to Get Away with Murder and getting to play such a strong, complex character seemed like a dream job.
Until cameras started rolling on the first sex scene.
“The first thing I had to do had the sex scene with Billy Brown. I was like, ‘Okay, cut, cut, cut, cut,’ “ Davis, 50, tells PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly editorial director Jess Cagle in the latest edition of The Jess Cagle Interview.

Turns out, those sexy scenes aren’t as fun when there’s a room full of people watching you.
“If you’re in the privacy of your home doing anything intimate, it’s fine,” the Suicide Squad actress says. “But when you have cameras in front of you – imagine cameras coming to your house when doing an intimate scene. That changes everything.”
