Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce to end after season 5
Bravo’s Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce is officially set to end with its previously announced fifth season, EW has learned.
In April, the Marti Noxon series was renewed for three additional seasons, taking it to a total of five, but now the decision has been made to end the show at that point. The remaining seasons will consist of a total of 19 episodes: seven for season 3 and six each in seasons 4 and 5.
“From the beginning, I’ve had an idea of how I’ve wanted the series to end so at least I had that picture in my head,” Noxon told The Hollywood Reporter, which originally reported the story.
The producer is very busy as the co-creator of UnREAL and also serving as showrunner on the upcoming HBO miniseries Sharp Objects, the TV adaption of Gillian Flynn’s novel, which will star Amy Adams.
Girlfriends’ stars Lisa Edelstein as a self-help author trying to navigate her way through divorce with the help of her friends. It was the first scripted series from Bravo, which has gone on to expand its original content with Odd Mom Out and the upcoming My So Called Wife.
