Miss Saigon returning to its original theater on Broadway on March 1
Miss Saigon is officially returning to its Broadway home, The Broadway Theatre, on March 1
After a critically acclaimed two-year run in London, the landmark musical is headed to Broadway, where it ran from 1991 to 2001, with more than 4,000 shows.
Previews for the revival of Alain Boublil and Claude Michel Schonberg’s original musical begin March 1, and opening night is set for March 23. The production will have a limited engagement through Jan. 14, 2018, before launching a North American tour later in the year.
When the revival’s Broadway return was announced in November, producer Cameron MacKintosh said, “Of all my shows, Miss Saigon is the one that I have received the most requests from the public to bring back, and I am thrilled that Broadway audiences will get to see this tremendous new production that audiences and critics in London have embraced since it opened in 2014.”
