Aziz Ansari compares Donald Trump and the Khans to Drake and Meek Mill
Basically since the beginning of his presidential campaign, Donald Trump has been getting into public spats with various opponents. He may have met his match, however, in the Khan family. Khzir and Ghazala, the parents of slain U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, spoke at the Democratic National Convention, condemning Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim immigration and questioning whether the Republican candidate had ever read the U.S. Constitution. Trump fired back against them in recent days, but the Khans have held their ground, and public opinion does not seem to be with Trump on this one. Ansari, who knows a thing or two about feuding with Trump, compared the situation to another famous beef.
“The Khan family is the Drake to Donald Trump’s Meek Mill,” Ansari told Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night. “I mean, it’s crazy. The guy makes a speech like, ‘Have you read the U.S. Constitution? Let me give you a copy!’ And then Trump’s like, ‘Why doesn’t your wife say anything?’ And then the guy goes, ‘You have a black soul.’ Which is the coldest s–t I’ve ever heard. I’ve never heard anyone say that. I heard that was gonna be a line in Tupac’s ‘Hit ‘Em Up,’ but he was like ‘Nah, that’s too mean, we can’t go there.'”
