The PlayStation Network is pulling the plug on its first scripted series. Powers co-creator Brian Michael Bendis confirmed on Wednesday that the television adaptation of his comic book series will not come back for a third season.
In a series of tweets, Bendis revealed that the show’s second season, which wrapped up its 10-episode run on July 19, will be the show’s last. He then thanked fans of the show for their support, and promised to write more about the news later.
But all hope is not lost for the Powers franchise: Bendis went on to assure fans that the comic book series will continue, and that he’s already finished two issues of an upcoming storyline called “Diamond Days” (which suggests a focus on protagonist Christian Walker’s past, when he was a superhero named Diamond).
