Gilmore Girls marathon airing on UP TV over Thanksgiving
- TV Show
Time to gather the take-out menus, load up on Pop Tarts, and fill the coffee canisters – a 153-hour Gilmore Girls marathon is coming to TV.
UP, a family-focused cable channel, will broadcast every episode of Gilmore Girls in a 153-hour marathon the week of Thanksgiving, the network announced Wednesday. The “binge-a-thon” kicks off Friday, November 18 at 6 p.m. ET and lasts until Friday, November 25 at 3 a.m. ET, the exact time the Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, is set to debut.
“Just in time for the holidays, UP viewers will be able to spend time with another family they truly love,” said UP’s EVP and General Manager Amy Winter. “We wanted to gift our audience with the ultimate catch-up event with added extras like trivia and contests. Our viewers are massive fans of Gilmore Girls, so we’re going all Gilmore all the time for an entire week.”
