Stranger Things: Video reimagines Netflix series as an 80s sitcom
In the early episodes of Netflix’s Stranger Things, it can sometimes be difficult to remember you’re watching a supernatural horror show. The rapport between the young boys, the teenagers’ dramatic relationships, and even unresolved tensions among the small town’s adults are often just as compelling as the secret lab experiments and telekinetic superpowers. A new fan video, in fact, imagines what the show would be like if the latter components didn’t exist at all, if Stranger Things was just an old-fashioned ’80s sitcom. It even comes complete with relevant Randy Newman music — specifically, the song “Strange Things.”
