Lea Michele reveals Finn tattoo to honor Cory Monteith
- TV Show
It’s been three years since Cory Monteith died, but his Glee costar and girlfriend Lea Michele continues to honor him in permanent ways.
The Scream Queens star appears on the cover of Women’s Health U.K.‘s Naked Issue, revealing a small “Finn” tattoo on her left butt cheek. The tat marks a blending of fiction and reality, as Michele’s character on Glee, Rachel Berry, got a “Finn” tattoo on the show to honor the passing of her former fiancé, Monteith’s character Finn Hudson.
“Right now, I feel physically in my best shape, and emotionally in my best place,” she told the magazine, later noting, “I have down days. I accept those days as much as the happy ones.”
Michele has at least two other tattoos to honor Monteith. She unveiled a number 5, Finn’s football number on Glee, in April. The “if you say so” ink on her ribcage recalls the last thing Monteith said to her before his death — it completed their exchange and followed her saying, “I love you more.”
On July 13, the third anniversary of Monteith’s death, Michele took to Twitter to share her grief. “I know everyday you’re watching over me, and smiling,” she said. “Love and miss you Cory, everyday, but today a little more.”
