Back in February as the cast and creatives behind Harry Potter and the Cursed Child circled up for the first time, the actors bringing the characters to the stage met the woman behind it all, J.K. Rowling.

Having been present for the meeting, Pottermore posted some details online. “I’m Jo…Well, you know what I did,” the author and Cursed Child writer said. Rowling later commended Jack Thorne, who also worked on the production. “None of this would have been possible without that man,” she said.

The photo of this unforgettable moment arrives as the cast performed Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for an audience at the gala opening at London’s Palace Theatre.
