Maya Rudolph to guest-star on Brooklyn Nine-Nine
- TV Show
Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg have been known to round up laughs together (see: Popstar, Saturday Night Live, The Maya Rudolph Show), and they’ll be doing it again this fall in Samberg’s cop comedy.
Rudolph will guest-star in two episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fox confirmed on Friday. The Maya & Marty star will play a U.S. Marshal who serves as a liaison to Jake (Samberg) and Holt (Andre Braugher) while they are tucked away in Florida in the witness protection program. After the season 3 finale in April — which revealed that Jake and Holt were living next door to each other under the names Greg and Larry — Brooklyn co-creator Dan Goor told EW the pair won’t be returning to New York immediately. “We plan on spending some time there [in Florida],” he said, adding that “they’re going to have to live in this situation for a little while.”
Rudolph pops up the season 4 premiere, which airs Sept. 20 on Fox.
