This just in: Ballers to keep balling.

Two episodes into its second season, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s football-centric comedy Ballers received a third season renewal from HBO on Thursday.

“Dwayne Johnson, Stephen Levinson, Mark Wahlberg, and the rest of the Ballers team have once again delivered a winner for our viewers,” said HBO programming president Casey Bloys in a statement. “We look forward to another great season of Ballers next year.”

The show — which was created by Stephen Levinson (Boardwalk Empire, Entourage) — stars Johnson as a former football star-turned-financial manager who tries to manage current and ex-players’ money and problems in Miami.

Season 1 averaged more than 9 million viewers across all HBO platforms, making it HBO’s highest-rated comedy in six years, tthe network said. July 17’s season 2 premiere has netted 5.7 million viewers to date.

The news was first announced by Johnson on Twitter, who gushed: “Millions of you tune in every week to join us on this crazy journey of chasin’ greatness and dealin’ with life’s pain… and the greatest compliment we always hear from you is that we’re real and authentic. Means the world considering how close this character is to my bones.”

The cast also includes Rob Corddry, Arielle Kebbel, Dulé Hill, Richard Schiff, and Andy Garcia.
