James Corden's parents cover WWE Monday Night Raw
In The Late Late Show‘s wide arsenal of inventive bits, unique sketches, and colorful characters, James Corden’s parents have emerged as the show’s low-key secret weapon, a pair of intrepid British people with a hunger to learn more about American culture. Corden previously sent them to cover the Super Bowl; on Tuesday night, he received their dispatch from covering WWE Monday Night Raw.
“We’re here to find out more about WWE,” Malcolm Corden said.
“I haven’t got a clue,” Margaret Corden said.
They quickly found out. The Cordens went into the WWE locker room and found wrestlers so big Margaret could fit her head under their armpit. Malcolm even tried on one wrestler’s costume, which consisted of putting women’s pantyhose on his head. He also helpfully provided them a beatbox.
Eventually, the Cordens got into the wrestling spirit and formed their own new tag-team, “M&M Mayhem.” They wore unicorn horns, announced their arrival with a trumpet blast, and danced around on stage. When their friends in The New Day ended up winning the championship, Malcolm crowned them with a British flag hat.
“Well, that’s the end of another great day,” Malcolm proclaimed at the end. “We met some massive men, we’ve hugged some sweaty men, but you know what? Whatever you’ve got ready for us, James, we’re ready for it. Bring it on. Here’s to the next time. Love you, mate.”
