The 'Walking Dead' star joins Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in the highly anticipated 2017 film.

The Walking Dead’s Lennie James has come aboard Alcon Entertainment’s Blade Runner sequel.

The actor joins Harrison Ford (who reprises his role of Rick Deckard from the 1982 original), Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Slyvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, and Barkhad Abdi. Director Denis Villeneuve (Sicario) is close to beginning production on the film, which will hit theater on Oct. 6, 2017. 

Details on the film are being kept guarded, but we do know that events take place decades after the events of the Ridley Scott-directed original. Take a look here at some exclusive concept art
