PICK OF THE NIGHT

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

CBS, 11:35 p.m.

It’s been a rocky few months for Stephen Colbert (including a high-profile Emmy snub), but his show definitely showed a spring in its step (and a Jon Stewart in its desk) last week when it went live for the RNC. Expect that hot streak to continue this week when The Late Show kicks off another live run at the DNC, which kicks off tonight with a Bernie Sanders speech.

HAPPY HUNDRETH!

Rizzoli and Isles

TNT, 9 p.m.

The crime drama rings in its 100th episode in style, and by style I mean orange jumpsuits: Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) must go to prison undercover to solve a case. Furthermore, Harmon directed the milestone episode, marking her first turn behind the camera. For more on the episode and Harmon’s directorial debut, check out our interview with her here.

JUMP THE SHARK

Dam Sharks

Syfy, 9 p.m.

Simply cannot wait until this weekend for Sharknado: The 4th Awakens? Then you’re weird. But worry not, weirdo! Syfy’s got an appetizer for you in the form of Dam Sharks, a horror flick about a group of sharks that build dams using human bodies.

TOP COPS

Angie Tribeca

TBS, 9 p.m.

In an episode pun-tastically titled “The Coast Is Fear,” Tribeca and her partner Geils must connect the murder of a Coast Guard agent to Mayhem Global, which is either an evil criminal organization or a campaign platform.
