The Democratic National Convention kicked off on Monday in Philadelphia with a throwback performance from R&B act Boyz II Men. The group, which was formed in Philadelphia, fittingly chose to perform their smash hit “Motownphilly.”
Members Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman took the stage just after Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake gaveled in the convention. The group dressed in style, wearing matching suits; if only they had worn custom-made “Boyz II Dems” t-shirts.
The group tweeted a photo from their soundcheck early in the day, saying that they were honored to perform at the DNC.
