Alicia Silverstone is set to star in the the TV Land pilot American Woman, EW has learned. The series, created and inspired by Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will follow Bonnie Nolan (Silverstone), a mother of two daughters, who leaves her husband and navigates the single life in the 1970s.

The Clueless actress was last on the small screen when she was featured in several episodes of ABC’s Suburgatory. The single-camera comedy is written by 30 Rock’s John Riggi, who will executive produce with The West Wing’s John Wells.

News of the series was featured on the recent season of the Beverly Hills Real Housewives iteration, as Richards’ sisters Kathy Hilton, who has made appearances on the series, and Kim Richards, who is a former full-time cast member, were questioned on their involvement with the show.
