Ready to head back to Fillory? The Magicians season 2 will debut on Syfy next year, but fans can already watch the very first scene from the premiere.

Last we saw Quentin and the gang, they were left broken in varying states of turmoil after their encounter with The Beast. In the first look at the new season, we find a lost Quentin wandering a dark wood in distress. Though it seems deserted, he encounters a mysterious “healer and gardening enthusiast” residing in a familiar-looking cottage.

Elsewhere, actor Jason Ralph reveals a behind-the-scenes look at the opening scene in a season 2 featurette. “We’re in the middle of this gorgeous, haunting Fillorian forest,” he says. “It’s a pretty epic and insane ride, and we’re really excited to be able to tell this story again.”

The clip also features a look at some of the sets, including concept art for the throne room in Fillory. “One of the things about this set is that it’s partially alive,” explains production designer Rachel O’Toole. “The materials here in Fillory are thinking for themselves. They cohabitate with the will and the mind and the spirit of the person who lives in the throne room.”

“It starts right where we left off,” actor Arjun Gupta (Will) previously told EW at Comic-Con, while his fellow cast confirmed we’ll be seeing a lot more of Fillory in season 2. “Fillory is beautiful,” Summer Bishil (Margo) said. “It really feels like we’re somewhere magical when we’re in Vancouver because we’re always in some majestic forest and it’s lit like heavens are opening.”
