The King arrived at San Diego.
During Saturday’s Warner Bros. panel in Hall H at Comic-Con, Warner Bros. and Legendary debuted a first look at next year’s Kong: Skull Island.
Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, and many others, the ensemble film is set in the 1970s and focuses on an expedition to Kong’s home island. The teaser ends with a look at the massive Kong himself.
“From the size of the skull, you can tell that things on this island are much bigger than audiences are used to with traditional Kong lore,” director Jordan Vogt-Roberts told EW in a recent interview. “Our Kong is by far the biggest Kong that you’ve seen on screen, and that translates to a lot of different things on the island.”
Before Comic-Con kicked off, Warner Bros. debuted a new poster for the 2017 film, featuring the massive king of the jungle.
Kong: Skull Island is out on March 10, 2017. Watch the trailer below, and check out the cast discussing the new film in EW’s exclusive interview from Comic-Con above.
