Warner Bros. surprised fans at Comic-Con on Saturday with a first look at Justice League, the DC Comics superhero team-up scheduled for release Nov. 17, 2017.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League brings together Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to form the super team. Superman actor Henry Cavill is also set to appear in the film, despite where the Man of Steel was left at the end of Batman v Superman.

In the footage that debuted Saturday, Bruce Wayne/Batman is shown putting the group together, and meeting Aquaman and The Flash for the first time. The teaser is notable for its many jokes, a stark contrast to Batman v Superman, which was criticized for its dark tone. “So you’re fast,” Bruce Wayne growls at The Flash. “That feels like an oversimplification,” The Flash responds, before telling Bruce the young speedster needs some friends. In a meeting between Wayne and Aquaman, Wayne cracks, “I hear you can talk to fish.”

A first photo of the team together was also released and can be seen below; check out the teaser trailer above.

Last month, Warner Bros. released an official synopsis for Justice League: “Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and the Flash — it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

Justice League follows Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and the forthcoming Wonder Woman in the DC Comics movie universe.
