Justin Timberlake has a song of the summer contender with the Trolls anthem “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” but don’t expect a new album to arrive soon.

“Define soon,” Timberlake said when asked about when to expect his next record in an interview with EW at Comic-Con on Thursday. “I don’t know.”

Asked if the album would arrive in either 2017 or 2018, Timberlake added, “Definitely before that time period ends.”

Timberlake has teased his new album before, but was loathe to add any more fuel to the fire on Thursday. “I don’t want to say anything because I’ve put my foot in my mouth before about it and then I took seven years,” he said, noting the time it took between FutureSex/LoveSounds in 2006 and The 20/20 Experience in 2013. “I can say I won’t do that,” he added of the gap. “But we’ll see.”
