The Exorcist is ready to scare a new generation with Comic-Con trailer
Seminary school probably doesn’t prepare a person for this.
Ahead of its Comic-Con panel on Friday, a new trailer has been released for new FOX series, The Exorcist, and it promises a lot of scares.
The new iteration of the 1973 film, which is considered one of the scariest of all time, follows two priests as they tackle a family’s terrifying case of demonic possession.
Showcased in the trailer is Father Tomas (Alfonso Herrera), a “rising star,” who at first is skeptical of Angela Rance’s (Geena Davis) claims that a demon is trying to take her daughter. “Demons are not real, they are metaphors,” he proclaims. The priest is soon in for a rude awakening as he finds himself facing off with not only a possible demon, but many other forces.
The Exorcist panel at Comic-Con is set for Friday from 6-7 p.m. PT, and the series will premiere Friday, Sept. 23 on FOX.
